Official Affiliation Disclaimer

Termiux is an independent terminal emulator project. Please note that Termiux is not affiliated with, authorized, maintained, sponsored, or endorsed by the official Termius project or its developers. All product and company names are the registered trademarks of their original owners. The use of any trade name or trademark is for identification and reference purposes only and does not imply any association with the trademark holder of their product brand.

At Termiux, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Our terminal emulator is built with a "privacy-by-design" philosophy, ensuring that your data remains yours alone.

1. Local-First Architecture

Termiux operates as a local-first application. All configurations, SSH keys, and session logs are stored exclusively on your device. We do not maintain remote servers that store your terminal activity or connection credentials.

2. Data Security & Encryption

Security is the core of our infrastructure. When you use Termiux to connect to remote servers:

  • All SSH traffic is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (OpenSSH compatible).
  • Private keys are stored in the iOS/iPadOS Secure Enclave or Keychain, providing hardware-level protection.
  • Biometric authentication (FaceID/TouchID) can be enabled to restrict access to the application.

3. Local Storage

We use local storage only to enhance your experience. This includes:

  • Application State: Remembering your open tabs and active themes.
  • Snippet Library: Saving your frequently used commands for quick access.
  • Known Hosts: Maintaining a list of verified remote server fingerprints to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.

4. Third-Party Services

Termiux does not sell your data to third parties. We do not include third-party trackers or analytics SDKs that profile your behavior. The only third-party interaction occurs during the App Store purchase process, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Contact Us
